Before touching any lock or keypad, walk every room and note every locked door, empty slot, and object that clearly expects an input. Bring Back The Sun! never hands you a code — every puzzle answer is hidden in the environment, waiting to be found.

Environmental clues — fruit counts, symbol books, recipe pages, gem color patterns — each unlock exactly one specific door or keypad. Forcing random combinations does not work. The game rewards careful observation over trial-and-error guessing.

Completing each of the four main maps earns a legendary relic: Tear of the Forest, Shard of the Fallen Sun, Gift of the Ancient Grain, and Burning Heart of the Earth. All four are required to unlock the wizard's castle for the final boss fight.

The six maps are played in a fixed order — Wizard's House tutorial first, Boss Fight last. Each map is a self-contained chapter with its own puzzle chain. You cannot skip a map or access later areas without completing the one before it.

Tools like the scythe, crowbar, and bucket carry over between maps. A tool earned in one chapter may be needed again in a later puzzle chain. If you are stuck in a later map, check whether you are missing a tool from an earlier stage.

The final map requires all four relics and unfolds in four distinct phases: castle siege with a crafted bow, a 10-book genre-sorting library puzzle, a hidden magic word, and the direct wizard confrontation. Each phase must be fully completed before the next unlocks — there is no skipping ahead once you enter the castle. Defeating the wizard restores the sun and completes the game.
